Bulkamid for Stress Incontinence

Bulkamid is a new bulking agent for stress incontinence.  While bulking agents have been used as an adjunct for vaginal slings, Bulkamid uses a new, long lasting gel injected into the mid-urethra under anesthesia.  Leaking decreases tremendously with no recovery.  Therefore, no more pads, no devices placed in the vagina that have to fit right. In most cases, no need for a vaginal sling.
