Bulkamid for Urinary Leakage

The Bulkamid system is a new way to use an agent in the urethra to stop urinary leaking.  It is primarily for stress incontinence.  A specialized scope is placed inside the urethra, and a specialized, unique bulking agent is placed just inside the urethral wall at the mid-urethra to prevent urinary leakage.

The procedure is done outpatient or in the office, and the success rate is 77%. The results can last seven years.  There is no recovery or limitation afterward, and the only side effect is a few days of mild effects similar to a bladder infection.
