Meet Dr. Richmond

Prior to Special Care for Women, Dr. Richmond had a successful practice in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, for nine years. He was named one of the Best Doctors in America® for 2011-12, a recognition known for its reliable, impartial evaluation; doctors are nominated by other physicians in their profession and then rigorously reviewed by the organization. Only the top 3-5% of doctors in their specialty earn this honor. In addition, Dr. Richmond was a part of ground-breaking history: in 2005, he delivered the first baby in the world conceived after an ovarian transplant. Dr. Richmond has practiced in Calhoun County since 2005 and currently provides care for patients at Special Care for Women in Anniston, Alabama.

Dr. Richmond specialized in minimally invasive surgery and hormone therapy, as well as high-risk obstetrics. He is currently accepting new patients and plans to continue a long and successful career in Calhoun County.
